We are hiring a QA/QC Engineer (Material) on behalf of our client.
Responsibilities:
Review and verify material test certificates (MTCs), certificates of compliance (COCs) and other relevant documentation from suppliers and manufacturers.
Conduct incoming material inspections and tests to ensure all materials comply with project standards and specifications.
Monitor and maintain detailed records of material approval submittals and quality documentation, ensuring traceability from procurement to installation.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse and construction teams to ensure the timely delivery and correct usage of approved materials.
Liaise with third-party laboratories for specialized material testing when required, such as mechanical tests or chemical composition analysis.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of the Material Inspection Plan (MIP) and other related quality documents.
Participate in internal and external audits related to materials. Ensure compliance with relevant international standards such as ASTM, ASME, ISO, API, ACI or project-specific codes.
Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) for any material deviations and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare and maintain all records for quality dossiers and turnover packages.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Materials Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA/QC role focused on materials in a construction or EPC environment.
Proven experience with material traceability systems and documentation.
Strong knowledge of international material standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, API, ACI).
Familiarity with project lifecycle in construction environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skill to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Knowledge of welding material and procedures is a significant advantage.
