To support the firm’s tax advisory work by preparing technical analyses, compiling financial data, and assisting with the drafting of tax advice and deliverables. The role also involves supporting research, preparing supporting documentation, and ensuring that information used in advisory projects is accurate and well-organized. This position plays a key role in delivering reliable tax advisory support across both direct and indirect tax (corporate tax and VAT).
Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze complex financial and commercial data (e.g., transaction documents, financial statements, intercompany agreements) to support robust tax advisory deliverables.
Prepare detailed technical analyses, working papers, and supporting schedules for tax advisory reports, connecting compliance aspects and related UAE laws to deliver practical, actionable insights.
Conduct in-depth research on UAE tax legislation and other applicable laws (e.g., Labour, immigration, corporate) and interpret guidelines and industry trends relevant to client situations.
Develop clear executive summaries (ppt format) and concise presentation slides distilling complex advisory findings for client management discussions and decision-making.
Maintain organized project documentation, trackers, and timelines, ensuring smooth coordination within the engagement team and with stakeholders.
Manage timely delivery of assigned tasks, proactively addressing challenges and escalating issues to senior team members when needed.
Actively participate in internal review discussions, contribute technical inputs, and translate feedback into high quality final outputs.
Stay current on UAE tax and regulatory developments (direct and indirect tax) and assess practical implications for ongoing and upcoming advisory projects.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Economics, or Law is a must
Professional accountancy qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or any equivalent certification.
Additional qualification in taxation (e.g., Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation, CTA, ATT) will be considered an added advantage.
Advance knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards, with the ability to apply these in practical client scenarios.
Working knowledge of UAE tax regulations; familiarity with EU tax frameworks or the tax regime of the candidate’s home jurisdiction is also valued.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI, with the ability to analyze, interpret, and present financial and tax data effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

Experience:
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in tax advisory with a strong focus on research, analytical reporting, and drafting within a Top 5 global accounting or law firm
Hands-on experience preparing and filing VAT and Corporate Tax returns, including using the UAE FTA portal or equivalent tax authority systems.
Experience coordinating client deliverables in a professional services setting.
Working knowledge of UAE FTA tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, Excise Tax); in the absence of UAE experience, familiarity with other jurisdictional tax frameworks and the ability to quickly adapt to UAE requirements along with necessary FTA accredited education / diplomas is essential.
