System Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a service minded System Engineer to become a part of NOC support team with design, deploy and maintain the Network and cloud Services. At the same time achieve the maximum level of end user satisfaction by giving a smooth, efficient and reliable service. You will be a part of our 24/7 NOC support team. Daily work includes fulfilling operational tasks to ensure good performance and stability in our Network and systems. You will be working on new projects from design stage to implementation and operation.

Objective of this role:

• Manage and monitor all Network infrastructure and cloud systems installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance.
• Implement and maintain strategies for backup, security, and redundancy.
• Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively.
• Craft custom scripts that reduce the need for human interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Support both on-premises and cloud server infrastructure and support the increase in cloud adoption for the company.
• Support ongoing and new network projects including the design, build and operation of infrastructure.
• Provide 24x7 NOC support and work closely with the on-site teams and partners to resolve network outages and Level2 customer escalations.
• Strong interest in automation and automate recurring tasks, regular operational activities, infrastructure monitoring, standard processes etc.
• Conduct high-level root-cause analysis of service interruptions and establish preventive measures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in technology or computer science.
• Professional certification on Routing, cloud technology, Linux systems.
• Experience in virtualization and Cloud technologies like VMware, AWS etc.
• Experience in Networking Preferred (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, GPON, Layer 2 protocols like STP, VTP, QnQ etc.) or willing to explore and learn with fast learning skills.
• Experience with or knowledge of operating systems (Linux), programming languages (Python, Perl and bash scripting etc.) and, recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, VM ware etc.
• Knowledge of Git or other version-control software.
