Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description

Principle Accountability:

• Perform administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure services.
• Support database administrators to function without disruption and with optimal connectivity.
• Provide services that are in line with organizational requirements and new technologies and apply system updates, patches, configuration changes and automation.
• Fulfil flawless deliverables of IT infrastructure-related projects and assist servers in multiple data centers.
• Ensure network connectivity to support branch offices and corporate communications.
• Enable wireless and data center access for core and digital applications without disruption for optimal connectivity.
• Implement end-user IT services Identity and directory services, email, and remote working
• Highlight emergencies, irregularities in business continuity, incident response, and execution of IT and network infrastructure recovery plans
• Execute disaster recovery architecture and infrastructure-related services and provide IT support to business-related functions.
• Assist and provide data in making reports and MIS IT updates.
• Become a point of contact for collecting information on IT infrastructure and security-related issues.
• Attempt to resolve operational or service delivery issues and minimize escalations.
• Escalate sensitive and contentious operational or service delivery issues to the immediate manager.
• Maintain rapport with vendors and suppliers

Qualifications and Experience:

• 04 - 05 years of experience in system Engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology
• Full/ Part qualification in recognized professional institute will be an added advantage
• Proficiency Azure/OCI cloud platforms, Azure Administration, CCNA, Windows/Linux Servers and firewalls.
• High attention to detail, good interpersonal skills and effective time management are mandatory.
• Highly ambitious, dynamic, result-oriented personality with inter-personal skills
