● Help define the organic growth vision, strategy, and reporting cadence for our website.
● Own our SEO roadmap and execute strategies and tactics that drive high-intent organic B2B and B2C visitors
● Improve our overall site health and performance in collaboration with technical partners
● Work closely with Analytics to monitor traffic and performance and identify actionable insights to grow our organic presence and improve user experience and conversion
● Take ownership of marketing strategies across all non-paid channels, including email, newsletter, blog, SEO, social, and content.
● Rigorously analyze campaign results and optimize growth strategy accordingly.
● Lead user and market research initiatives and work with our Product and sales teams to translate customer data into action items.
● Share weekly performance reports with the entire team and provide actionable recommendations.
● Stay up to date on the competitive landscape and identify areas of opportunity.
● Be a thought leader and contribute to a culture of learning and high achievement.
● Identify opportunities and best practices and through growth hacking and hypothesis testing, determine when and where to scale.
Position Requirements:
● 5+ years of experience driving strategy and execution of impactful organic search initiatives
● Strong track record of leading successful projects across in-house or agency roles working on a site with a high proportion of traffic coming from organic search
● Deep expertise across the three pillars of SEO (on-page, off-page, technical) and experience across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C audiences
● Proactive, organized, curious, entrepreneurial problem solver with a "can-do" attitude and a testing-and-learning mentality
● Strong cross-functional collaboration and communications skills, with the ability to contextualize SEO strategy within broader business goals
● Ability to be both strategic and have strong attention-to-detail
● Strong organization, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to react to shifting priorities
● Experience with conversion rate optimization, including running a/b tests
● Background in the Edtech, mobile apps, eCommerce, or online platforms is a plus
● Data-driven decision maker experienced in A/B testing and conversion analysis.
● Fluency in brand communications.
● Expert presentation skills and an obsession with brand, design, and language.
● Outstanding copyediting and proofreading skills.
● Ability to self-direct and drive projects from strategy to execution.
● Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to adapt to new conditions on short notice.
● Deep understanding of media landscape and popular culture and an ability to forecast trends.
● An aversion to conformity + desire to create category-defining creativity.
